When you have important dental services you pay for, dental insurance can make the process all the more enjoyable and affordable overall. If you have dental insurance from your employer, you should be taking advantage of your benefits now and getting your most essential dental treatments done, especially before the end of the year. It’s the best way to prevent issues later down the road and ensure your out-of-pocket costs stay low.
Our dental office is currently in-network with Delta Dental’s Premier plan. If you have a Delta Dental Premier plan, then you are able to get the most from your coverage when you choose a dental office that is also in-network with that plan. With that said, those with a Premier plan can also visit a dentist with a PPO plan, but the same is not true for patients who have a Delta Dental PPO plan. On top of that, patients with the Premier plan gain access to the largest network of dentists possible.
When you choose specific services covered by this plan, such as exams, cleanings, X-rays, dental fillings and other restorative services, you will typically only need to cover your copay and deductible for your services. In most cases, preventive services are covered at or close to 100%, minor restorative services are covered between 70 and 80%, and major services provide up to 50% coverage.
Visiting an in-network dentist simply means that the dental office has agreed to charge a certain rate for specific services as written in a contract between the insurance provider and the dental office. This also means that the dental office will need to enforce yearly maximums and limits set forth by that insurance provider.
Not only does seeing an in-network provider generally mean you’re able to get higher savings than being out-of-network, but you can get better coverage for specific treatments as well as gain access to a larger pool of dentists. Our team members will work with you directly to make sure your benefits are maximized, ensuring your care is affordable. This could include splitting your treatments into multiple calendar years, so you don’t see as much of an out-of-pocket cost.
The good news is some of the largest employers in Salem are happy to provide Delta Dental Premier to patients as a benefit. While you should always double check with your employer directly, chances are if you work at any of the following companies, you are in-network with our dental office. These companies include:
